What power supply is required?
The PingLive system requires a DC (direct current) power supply with the following specifications:
- Voltage: 11-24 DC
- Current: Minimum of 6A
You can power the system using a compatible marine battery or other regulated DC source, as long as it meets these requirements.
Refer to PART II of the user manual guide for more information.
Important:
- Always connect power through the Wi-Fi Router or USB-C Brick–never bypass the Wi-Fi router or brick by applying voltage directly to the transducer.
- Using direct voltage above 18V or inadequate current may cause system instability or permanent damage not covered under warranty.
If a power cable extension is required for your setup, use the appropriate wire gauge:
- 10 AWG (5.26 mm2) – Up to 4.6m (15ft)
- 8 AWG (8.36 mm2) – Up to 7m (23ft)
- 6 AWG (13.29 mm2) – Up to 11m (36ft)
Stable power ensures reliable performance and protects your gear from electrical issues.
*Improper installation or maintenance may cause equipment damage or personal injury.
**Electrical tape or cable ties may be required for installation.
***Keep cables away from trolling motors during installation and prevent cables from being pinched.
