What is the power consumption of the Brick vs. the Router?

While both are designed to be efficient, the Wi-Fi Router generally consumes more power than the USB-C Brick.

USB-C Brick:

  • Typical: ~3W
  • Max: ~6W

Wi-Fi Router:

  • Typical: ~6W
  • Max: ~9W

On average, the Wi-Fi Router draws about 3W more than the USB-C Brick, due to continuous wireless transmission. If maximizing battery life is a priority, especially during long sessions, the wired USB-C connection is the more power-efficient option.
