What does the green or yellow light on the router/brick mean?

The indicator lights on the Wi-Fi Router and USB-C Brick help you quickly understand the system’s status:

Power Indicator Light (Router & Brick)

  • Yellow Light: Turns on when powered

Brick Network Status Indicator

  • Green Light (Blinking): Data is being transmitted.
  • No Light: No data transmission.

Router Network Status Indicator

Green Light:

  • Turns on briefly after powering up, then turns off.
  • About 45-60 seconds after powering on, the lights turn on again and start blinking, this indicates that the SSID is now visible and ready for connection.
  • When connected and data is transmitted, the light blinks.
  • When no data is being transmitted, the light turns off.

For the Wi-Fi Router, the green light will turn on briefly after powering up, then blink continuously once the network is active and ready for connection. If it stays off, check your power source or connections. These lights are your quick-glance health check, no need to guess what’s going on in the Brick/Router.
